The Quilter’s Cruise Control is a stitch length regulator for
home sewing machines used on machine quilting frames. The Quilter’s Cruise
Control actively changes the speed of the sewing machine as you move the machine
to maintain uniform stitch length throughout the quilting project. This is an
option previously available only to professional quilters with expensive
long-arm machines.
We use ours with the B-Line Home Quilting System and it works
great!
When the cruise control unit is turned on, the machine starts at
its slowest speed. On the Juki TL98e/Brother 1500, this is something like 2
stitches per second (very slow). Then when the machine is moved, the motor
speeds up to maintain a constant stitch length (short, medium, or long). The
machine is guided normally. When it is time to come to a stop, stop moving the
machine, then click the cruise off.
You have to see the Cruise Control in person! Check the Upcoming Events for a show near you.
Bayside Quilting is an Authorized Representative/Dealer of the Quilter's Cruise Control.
